COVID-19 TRIAGE APPOINTMENTS
Telephone Triage Service - A new telephone triage service has now started at the surgery. When you call for an appointment you may be booked in for a telephone triage. The GP will call you back on the number you have confirmed and triage your medical needs. If the GP cannot deal with your concerns over the telephone and needs to see you, he will ask you to attend the surgery later that day and give you an appointment time.
Please don't be offended when our receptionist/care navigator asks you for a brief description of why you need to be seen on the day. They are not being nosey, they are asking you because the GP has asked them to. They do not need to know everything, just a brief description will do. They will then be able to book you in with the most appropriate clinician or direct you to another service that can help.
In the next few weeks the practice will be introducing a call queuing service. When you call the surgery you will be told what position in the queue you are. This service gives you the information you need so that you can make a decision to either wait in the queue or hang up and call back later.
On Line Smear Appointments
We have now introduceed online advanced bookings for smear appointments with our Practice Nurses
We now have a separate prescriptions telephone line. If you have any prescription queries please contact the surgery on 0151 495 5136 between 10am - 4pm.
To book an appointment please call 0151 495 5110 from 8am onwards. No prescription queries will be dealt with using this appointment line.
